Traditional Japanese Soup
Ingredients
- 1/2 lbs Sliced Beef Rib Eye or other tender cuts
- 2 Onion
- 1 Beef tallow
- 1/4 head Chinese Cabbage
- 1 Carrot
- 1 bag Shirataki Noodle Optional
- 1/2 Package Grilled Tofu
- 1 bag Enoki
Warishita (Base)
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup Mirin
- 1/2 cup Cooking Wine or Sake
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 2 cup Water
Notes
If you put a small pot on the scale and measure it out,
Combine all Warishita ingredients. You don’t need a measuring cup.
Bring to a boil and turn off the heat.
Add beef fat to a sukiyaki pot and heat. Grill the green onions.
It’s OK if it’s fragrant and browned.
Add about 1/3 of the beef and fry. When it becomes fragrant and changes color,
add the remaining ingredients and warishita, cover, and simmer.
Add the remaining beef and bring to a simmer. Once it’s cooked through, it’s ready.
