Meet my paw babies. Buddie and Sunny. Buddie is a Rottweiler mix (Female 5 years old). Sunny is a rat terrier mix (Male 1-year-old). They are both from Rescue. We adopted Buddie in December 2019, Right before Covid started. We lost our beloved dog, Boss, due to old age in 2017. I have been missing him and needed much Doggie interaction again. We saw her in the SPCA facility, and my husband and I fell in love with her at first sight. She only weighed 75 lbs when we got her. (Healthy weight for Rottweiler is around 100 lbs) She was underweight. It was a struggle at first since she had never been inside the house, and we had to go to work and leave her at home during the day. With a combination of love, patience, and training (A few damaged household items later), she is now the Sweetest, Smartest dog we are so proud to have in our lives.
Sunny also came from SPCA. We adopted him in September 2022. One morning In September, My husband and I took Buddie on our routine morning walk near the park by our house. Since no other people or dogs were around, My husband walked her off-leash. She usually listens very well. However, this morning, she dashed at top speed toward the corner of the outside fence of the pickleball court, where we found this tiny little dog. I immediately picked him up and took him home since no one at the park knew where he came from. My mother-in-law ended up adopting him. But until she came to pick him up a few days later, Buddie and him (Blaze) got along so well that she was sad after he left with my mother-in-law. Seeing her low broke our hearts, so we decided to find her new friend. My husband picked Sunny out of 4-5 puppies at the SPCA. He was a perfect match with Buddie since they got along like a dream.
